Tarlac State University reviewed the implementation and accomplishments of its externally funded research-based projects covered by Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) during an activity held yesterday (August 14) at the CFTR AVR, Lucinda Campus.
The activity brought together the university’s research center directors to report on their respective projects, including their implementation status, outputs and deliverables, issues and concerns, and ways forward.
University President Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Dr. Niño B. Corpuz, Vice President for Administration Dr. Marlon V. Gamido, and Department of Science and Technology III Provincial Science and Technology Center – Tarlac Provincial Director Ms. Karen Y. Dañez served as reviewers.
During the review, the center directors presented the progress and accomplishments of projects implemented in partnership with local government units, national government agencies, academic institutions, and other partner organizations.
The reviewers provided inputs and recommendations on the projects, particularly on the fulfillment of commitments and deliverables under the MOAs, sustainability and utilization of project outputs, and possible directions for continuing and future collaborations.
Pres. Mendoza commended the research centers and project teams for their dedication in carrying out their respective commitments and emphasized the importance of ensuring that projects undertaken through institutional partnerships are completed and translated into meaningful outputs.
The activity supports the Dalan ng Pananaliksik under the University’s DALAN Framework, which identifies research and innovation as one of TSU’s key pathways toward sustainable development and a future-ready university.
Among the projects reviewed were initiatives of the Center for Community and Local Governance Studies and Policy Development, Center for Food Technology and Research, Center for Solar and Emerging Technologies, Center for Engineering and Environmental Research, Center for Natural Products Research, and Center for Peace, Indigenous Peoples’ Resources and Development
