Tarlac State University is once again recognized for its notable performance in government financial management after receiving two awards from the Government Financial Management Innovators Circle (GFMIC), Inc. during the 17th GFMIC Annual Convention and Membership Conference on September 23, 2026, at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City.
The university earned the prestigious Hall of Fame for Outstanding eNGAS User Entity Award for its sustained excellence in implementing and utilizing the electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS).
TSU was also conferred the Outstanding eNGAS User Entity Award in recognition of its significant accomplishments and contributions in utilizing eNGAS from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, marking its third consecutive year of receiving the award.
The plaques were received by University President Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza, Vice President for Administration Dr. Marlon Gamido, Budget Management Unit Head Mr. Ryan R. Ronquillo, Accounting Unit representative Ms. Vilma Balot Bondoc, and Cashiering Unit representative Ms. Ecel Dizon-Granil.
President Mendoza noted that the university's effective use of eNGAS has also contributed to its 15 consecutive years of receiving an unmodified (unqualified) audit opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA) from 2011 to 2025.
“Receiving this Hall of Fame Award as an eNGAS user is a testament to the University’s unwavering commitment to financial integrity and accountability, which will continue to propel TSU toward greater achievements,” Vice President Gamido said in an interview.
Adding to the University's achievement, the TSU Commission on Audit (COA) Audit Team, headed by Atty. Meliza Joy P. Manalo, was also recognized with the Outstanding eNGAS User Audit Team Award.
Through eNGAS, the university has streamlined its accounting processes, improved the efficiency of financial management, and facilitated the timely generation of trial balances and financial statements consistent with applicable public-sector accounting standards. These capabilities provide management and stakeholders with timely and reliable financial information for decision-making.
The awards underscore TSU's continuing commitment to accountability, transparency, innovation, and excellence in government financial management.
