1st National Research Conference held at TSU

Adhering to university’s mission to become a premier research institution and to strengthen collaboration with various institutions, Tarlac State University organized its 1st National Research Conference themed “Embracing Research Culture in HEIs through Collaboration” on October 3-5, 2019 at the TSU Alumni Center, Villa Lucinda Campus.

Adhering to university’s mission to become a premier research institution and to strengthen collaboration with various institutions, Tarlac State University organized its 1st National Research Conference themed “Embracing Research Culture in HEIs through Collaboration” on October 3-5, 2019 at the TSU Alumni Center, Villa Lucinda Campus.

The first day of the research conference was graced by Hon. Maria Cristina C. Angeles, Tarlac City Mayor, who recognized the contribution of research undertakings by the academe in the improvement of local governance and formulation of vital local government policies.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Armee N. Rosel, Vice President for Research and Extension Services, acknowledged the presence of the participants coming from Catanduanes, Department of Justice, University of Santo Tomas, Central Luzon State University, Bulacan State University, and Tarlac State University.

The plenary speakers lined up for the three-day conference are: Dr. Custer Deocaris, Chief of the Research Management Division of the Commission on Higher Education; Dr. Julius Caesar V. Sicat, Director of the Department of Science and Technology-Region III; and Dr. Rowena Cristina L. Guevara, Undersecretary for Research and Development of DOST.

The awarding ceremonies will be held on October 5, 2019, Saturday, after the last set of parallel sessions for research presentations.
